Born May 29th, 1955. A native San Franciscan with forty years of musical experience.

The performer Edward Escobar is a musician who has spent many years seeking an individual and original musical identity as a performing songwriter and guitar player. Ed has worked in quartet, trio, and duo settings for many years, most recently with the bands, 'Mongrel Dogs' and 'The Mexican Brothers'. His intent has always been to write and perform original material as well as covers of the music by performers he has admired throughout the years. His music has it's roots in Rock & Roll, Folk, Country, and Blues, but also incorporates other influences as well as his original musical ideas for what he feels is a unique and individual style. Over the years he has 'tested the waters at local venues such as the Fillmore, the Sweetwater, the Hotel Utah, and the Paradise Lounge, to name but a few. His goal remains the same as when he started to write songs: to work on original material for both recording and performance with an emphasis on developing a unique sound for both while making the best use of his background in a group setting. Ed is currently playing guitar, writing, and performing with 'The Falling Stars'.
